Screw Type Dewatering Presses For Industrial Sludge Dehydration
Work process:
The wastewater is pushed into the dewatering machine.The sludge will move to the sludge
cake outlet under the pressure of the helical aixs blades.Becuse the gap among the helical
blades become narrower,so the sludge bear heavier pressure and begain to dewatering under
the pressure. The water comes out from the space between fixed and moving plates.
Procedure of dewatering machine
1. The sludge are transported to the flocculation tank through storage tank, and adequately
mixed by the mixer.
2. After big flocs are formed, the sewage is transported to the MDS screw press.
3. Flocs moves from the thickening zone to the dewatering zone.
4. Gaps between moving rings and fixed rings narrows, and the pressure of the end plate
increases dewatering,finally the sludge cake is discharged.
5. The sludge is transported out by shaftless screw conveyor.
Advantage
1) Without secondary pollution
The screw shaft rotational speed about 2-3r/min, no vibration and noise is very small ; The
laminated with self - cleaning function, plugging does not occur, only a small amount of water
washing, without secondary pollution, and sludge at such a slow running under the operating
condition, the smell does not spread, thereby creating a great work environment!
2) Contactless, Wear Free Structure Design
Volute sludge dewatering uses the contactless wear free structure between the disks and
screw shafts, thus the service life of the Screw shafts and the rings will be greatly extended.
The treatment capacity of equipment and processing effects can be improved in combination
with other optimization design.
3) Decrease Capital Investment
Volute sludge dewatering can treat sludge in aeration tank and secondary sedimentation tank
without setting sludge thickeners. Therefore, this can decrease the total investment, avoid
phosphorus release from the sludge thickeners and sludge storage tanks and enhance
phosphorus removal effect of the wastewater treatment system.
4) High Resistance to Oily Sludge
The self-cleaning mechanism and stainless steel structure enables MDS to be ideal to
dewater oily sludge, which easily causes clogging and is difficult to treat with other types of
dewatering equipment.
